Standards of Truth
“The distinctive faculty of man is his eager desire to investigate the truth. From this it is evident that what is true, simple, and pure is most in harmony with human nature.”—Cicero
True, simple, and pure . . . excellent standards by which you should assess the principles, process, and product of your training program. True: How reliable is this source and would you like to look, lift, and live like him? Simple: Can you write out your entire workout on a napkin and explain it to a middle-schooler. Pure: If a video crew tracked you 24/7, would your workout video still be rated “G”?
