Zsolt Hornyak told IronMind, “I have been bending nails since 2013,” and he’s come a long way, because today it’s official: Zsolt Hornyak has been certified on the IronMind Red Nail, a benchmark short steel bend.
“I have been bending nails since 2013. I bought a Bag Of Nails and the first time was able to bend the Yellow nail.
“I bend nails two times per week. For warm-up I bend 1-2 lighter steel, then 2-3 harder and 1-2 Red nails in the end.
“I bent my first Red Nail properly (according to the rules) around February, since then I have bent approximately 30 Red Nails.
“I work out five times per week, two times in a fitness center and three times I perform kettlebell and calisthenics exercises.
“
"At the end of every workout I finish with some grip strength exercises.
“I am planning to bend stronger steels, develop my Rolling Thunder performance and grip strength. Recently I can close CoC [Captains of Crush gripper] No. 2.5 properly, my goal is to reach CoC No. 3 level.
“I would like to give a huge thanks to my referee, Arpad Nagy, for volunteering his time to help me accomplish this certification,” said Hornyak, who is 190 cm tall (almost 6’ 3”) and weighs 108 kg (238 lb.).
IronMind would like to echo Zsolt Hornyak's many thanks to Arpad Nagy for serving as the referee on his official attempt to bend an IronMind Red Nail— congratulations Zsolt Hornyak: it’s official and your name has been added to the Red Nail Roster!
