"As far as I'm concerned, it's going to be the most open one," said IFSA founder Douglas Edmunds, Ph.D., commenting on the upcoming "World's Strongest Man" show. "There's a lot of heavy stuff this year, so there's things like squats and deadlifts, and that should bring out the real strong guy." Edmunds explained that there had been some grumbling about footrace-like events in past contests, which from the sound of things is not a complaint likely to be heard about WSM 2001.
