Germany's Ronny Weller, the current world record holder in both the snatch and the total in the superheavyweight category, will be competing at the upcoming European Weightlifting Championships.

Although Weller's preparation this year is primarily aimed at producing a top performance at the World Weightlifting Championships later in the year, he is reported to be coming into the Europeans capable of snatching 200 kg and cleaning and jerking 250 kg.
