WHEA World Strong(wo)man Championships

In the fifth edition of its drug-tested strongman/strongwoman world championships, WHEA drew competitors from several European countries as well as the USA to its contest in Hämeenlinna, Finland last weekend.
“The seven-event battle included staples like truck pull, log lift, loading medley, and the average performance level was highest so far in our events,” WHEA’s Jyrki Rantanen told IronMind.
Here are the 2019 champions:
W-65kg:Tatiana Cousins, GB
W-75kg: Natalie Huggins, GB
W- 75kg+ Laura Koskenniemi, FIN
W- masters 40-v+ Mary Anderson, GB
M-70kg: Markus Kotila, FIN
M-t -85kg: Dan Benson, GB
Mt -100kg: Sean Peatfield, GB
M-100+: Paul Talbot, GB
M masters 40-v+: Juha Keskinen, FIN
“The 2020 WHEA World Championships will be held in Southern Europe in September, with further information to be anounced no later than early next year,” said Rantanen.
