WHEA Grip World Championships

“WHEA (World Heavy Events Association) Grip World Championships were held over the weekend in Kick training center in Arendal, Norway,” WHEA Chairman Jyrki Rantanen reported to IronMind.
“During the day we witnessed some top results like Jesse Pynnönen’s Finnish record in Rolling Thunder (110kg) along with 200kg axle lift and a new record of 291kg in the scale press by Henrik Venemyr Hildeskor from Norway along with CoC Silver Bullet results like 49,73 seconds with #3 by Jouni Mähönen and 19,22 seconds with #4 by Hildeskor.
“The events of the competition were: Rolling Thunder IronMind Pinch Grip Block, Little Big Horn, Apollon’s Axle and the scale press.
“We are very pleased, that we could get back to international events after the pandemic break and we hope we can continue on that tract in the future. It was also great to see several new talents rising - we surely hear more about them in the grip world in the future,” said Rantanen.
