Vierra Leading 2000 HG Worlds...

After the first day of competition, California's Ryan Vierra is leading the 2000 Highland Games World Championships in Waipu, New Zealand. Vierra ended the first day with 25 points, just ahead of 1999 World Champion Matt Sandford (Australia), who finished the day with 24 points. Iceland's Petur Gudmunsson was in third place after the first day's events, with 17 points.
