In the wake of the devastating earthquake that rocked Turkey last week, strength fans around the world were concerned for the safety of weightlifting superstar Naim Suleymanoglu. Suleymanoglu is the only person in history to win gold medals in weightlifting at three Olympics, and is currently training for the 2000 Games-seeking an unprecedented fourth Olympic gold medal. Fortunately, Suleymanoglu and the other members of Turkey's elite national weightlifting team were far enough from the quake's epicenter that they were left unharmed, although their country has suffered enormously in the face of this disaster.
