Coming on strong in the second day of competition, Matt Sandford (Australia) won the 2000 Highland Games World Championships today in Waipu, New Zealand. Ryan Vierra (California) was second, Harry MacDonald (Canada) was third, Peter Gudmunsson (Iceland) was fourth, Francis Brebner (Scotland) was fifth, and Patrick Hellier (New Zealand) was sixth.
