Russia Dominating IPF Worlds

Russian lifters are turning in dominating performances at the IPF World Championships, with only the Polish victory in the 67.5 kg category breaking the Russian's perfect start.

So far, Russian powerlifters have won the 52- kg (Kazakov: 242.5 + 152.5 + 195.5), 56-kg ( Pavlov: 255 + 175 + 222.5), 60-kg (Andruchin: 265 + 150 + 270), and 75-kg (Furashkine: 328.5 + 215 + 320) categories. The only break in Russian's sweep has come in the 67.5 kg category (which didn't have a Russian lifter); Olech (Poland) won the class with 330 + 165 + 310. Pavlov's total (652.5 kg), Olech's squat (330 kg) and Furashine's squat (328.5 kg) and total (862.5 kg) were world records.
