Ronny Weller Out of World Weightlifting Championships

German newspapers reported today that Ronny Weller will not be competing in the World Weightlifting Championships, due to an adductor injury.

Weller, one of the world's top superheavyweights, would have been expected to be in the medal hunt and possibly on track for a world record performance if he had been able to compete in top form.

The World Weightlifting Championships begin next week, in Warsaw, Poland.
