“It’s the ultimate test of functional strength,” MAS Wrestling USA CEO Odd Haugen says of the sport with deep roots worldwide.

Plus, watching the people who have given it a try, it’s a lot of fun.
In terms of strength, grip, leg, back and arm strength all figure into the equation, but don’t discount the importance of technique and sheer fortitude.
And in keeping with its universal presence, it’s very inclusive: “MAS Wrestling USA welcomes all: men, women, big, medium and small . . . .,” said Haugen, who turns 65 in a couple of weeks and is a force to be reckoned with in the sport.
MAS Wrestling USA kicks off its 2015 season this coming weekend in Sacramento.
