“I received an education as a civil engineer,” Komshin told IronMind, “but I was always interested in sports, so for the last 6 years I have been working as a trainer in a gym.
“A year ago, I decided to prepare and get certified for CoC#3 [Captains of Crush No. 3 gripper]. Now I am also involved in weightlifting and developing grip strength. In addition to grippers, I am also interested in armlifting equipment: Hub, Rolling Thunder and Apollon’s Axle, which I can now devote more time to.
“My plans for the future: start preparing for certification [on the] CoC#3.5 [Captains of Crush No. 3.5 gripper]. I would also like to get certified on the Red Nail and CTD [Crushed-To-Dust! Challenge].
“The first time I tried to close the CoC® gripper was at school, in 2013, and I was able to close No. 2, after which I forgot about it.
"A year ago I saw Nikita Yurkovets training with grippers onYouTube and I decided to try too. I was able to squeeze #2.5 [Captains of Crush No. 2 gripper] with CCS [credit card set].
“I train 2 times a week with grippers and once I train my hand and fingers with dumbbells, different blocks, or the Rolling Thunder.
Not just a grip speciaist, Mikhail Komshin said, "I am into weightlifting and powerlifting and therefore I need a strong grip."
