Steel bender Mattia Crispino has proven his strength—he has just been certified on the IronMind Red Nail.
Crispino, who is 29 years old, 190 cm tall and weighs 106 kg, told IronMind he “started bending steel seriously about 7 months ago. I know IronMind is the best firm in the world for challengeing yourself and show other people your strength. The first time I tried bending I was able to bend the IronMind Blue Nail nail.
“I bend once time a week with a big volume (8-12 bars) and sometimes include one max attempt with a hard bar.
“I'm a wrestler and I think wrist and arm strength is important, especially for fighters and sports like: Judo, Sambo, wrestling freestyle and Greco-Roman.
On a personal note, Mattia said, “I have a small firm (building construction). My interests are: job, family, sports, and everything about grip training. I train deadlift, Apollon's Zxle and grip training like the IronMind Hub, Captains of Crush grippers, Rolling Thunder and Little Big Horn.
“My goals are to continue bending bigger steel and developing overall grip strength like Paul Knight.
“My next goals are certifying on the Captains of Crush No. 3 gripper, Captains of Crush No. 3.5 gripper and the famous Crushed to Dust Challenge.
“I want to thank you Dario Basile for refereeing my official attempt, and Ivan Beritashvili, Aleksey Pritula, Juha lehtimaki and Giorgio Giannico: during my certification quest, they gave to me much precious advice.”
Congratulations, Mattia Crispino—you have been certified and your name has been added to the Red Nail Roster.
IronMind would like to echo the thanks to Dario Basile for ably serving as the referee on Mattia Crispino’s official attempt to bend a Red Nail.
