Bulgaria's Georgi Markov, who turned in an outstanding silver medal performance in the 69-kg category at the 2000 Olympics, is currently training with Qatar's national weightlifting team.

It has been reported that Qatar will add one or two lifters to its top-ranked team this year, and now it looks as if Markov might well be the next member of this elite squad.
