“The competition started in small rain, but it did not bother the athletes or audience. A total of eight top Finnish athletes competed in six different events and they all knew that stakes were big: Start collecting as many points as possible to get invited for Giants Live World’s Strongest Man qualifier on August 13 at the Power Truck show in Alahärmä, Finland.
“Unfortunately, one of the top athletes, Tomi Lotta, was injured and could not take part. He is suffering a calf injury, but will be back at the beginning of June,” said Kinnunen.
The events were:
• Truck Pull with harness and rope (uphill)
• Log for reps
• Sack Loading
• Crucifix
• Deadlift for reps
