John Brookfield: One-Mile Truck Pull

John Brookfield’s latest in the training field is what he calls Distance Covering and talk about the rubber hitting the road, what better way to demonstrate the concept than to hook up and pull a semi for a mile.

“I am 53 and my partner 60 years old will be pulling over forty thousand lb. of semi-truck for the distance of one mile.  [The] track is flat and the last bit has a slight upgrade—we also use no pulling ropes at all just harnesses,” John told IronMind.

Set for October 13 in Fairmont, North Carolina, John and his pulling partner, Kirk Nobles, are going for a world record and here’s a link for full details.
