After a qualifying round, the top five women and eight men will meet in the 2019 Elite Grip Challenge (Melitopol, Ukraine) to face the Rolling Thunder, CoC (Captains of Crush) Silver Bullet Hold, Apollon’s Axle, IronMind Hub, IronMind Block and the Little Big Horn in a test of grip strength supremacy.

Among the top competitors, Igor Kupinsky is expected to take a shot at breaking the world record on the Apollon’s Axle, one of the most prestigious events in the world of grip strength.

Kupinsky is  previous world record holder on the CoC Silver Bullet Hold and recently set the Ukrainian national record on the Apollon’s Axle with a lift of 225 kg at the Azov Power Cup. Kupinsky’s preparation for this contest has been kept under wraps, but here’s how effortlessly he knocked off 212.5 on the Apollon’s Axle.
