The IFSA Winter Cup strongman competition is scheduled for February 9, 2002 in Szczyrk, Poland, and it will be contested outside, in the snow.

The official list of competitors is: Janne Virtanen (Finland), Hugo Girard (Canada), Martin Muhr (Germany), Jaroslaw Dymek (Poland), Irek Kuras (Poland), Raimond Bergmanis (Latvia), and reigning WSM-winner Svend Karlsen (Norway). An eighth slot has been announced as still being open.
