Proposed plans for the 2002 IFSA Super Series call for six top level strongman contests to held around the world.

Run in grand prix style, with cumulative points over the season determining the overall winner, these would be big-time strongman contests.  Currently, Super Series events are planned for Hawaii, Prague and Stockholm, which will host the final event in the series.

It is proposed that there will be twelve competitors in each event, with the field comprising six of the world's top strongman competitors, along with four competitors chosen by the promoter and two wild card entries. The plans also call for the elite group of six competitors to advance from event to event, but these competitors can be displaced by someone else who finishes in the top three at an event.
