The provisional IFSA 2000 Calendar has been released, and it includes a world championship event, along with over half a dozen grand prix events. The world championship would be a live event, and is seen as a complement to the "World Strongest Man" TV show, which is taped for viewing months after the fact. Also listed on the provisional calendar are a North America versus Europe competition, both a European and a World Team Championship, and the longstanding World Musclepower Championships.
