A world series for the top international Highland Games athletes is being developed for next year. Although the program has not yet been finalized, current plans call for a series of Highland Games competitions that would begin in Fredericksburg, Virginia, go to Ireland next, followed by as many as three competitions in Scotland, possibly Holland or England after that, and then the final event would be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
