Aiming to be the first world championships of the new millenium, the Highland Games title will be decided on January 1st in Waipu, New Zealand. Part of the festivities will include trying to hit a perfect 12 o'clock toss in the caber just as the 20th century ends and the 21st century begins. The field is scheduled to include: defending champion Matt Sandford (Australia), Ryan Vierra (USA), Francis Brebner (Scotland), Stephen King (Scotland), Wout Zijlstra (Holland), Petur Gundmundsson (Iceland), Harry MacDonald (Canada), Doug MacDonald (Canada) and Pat Hellier (New Zealand).
