Wade Gillingham shut out the infamous Blob, both right-handed and left-handed, over the weekend at Safe USA. "The Blob" is the end cut off a 100-pound York dumbbell and gripmaster extraordinaire Richard Sorin, the first man in the world to close the IronMind No. 3 Captains of Crushr gripper, was also the first man in the world to pinch grip one of these with one hand. For all of his stupendous feats of hand strength (see MILO, Volume 2 - Number 4), Sorin always speaks of pinch gripping the Blob with the utmost respect. Not be outdone at this impromptu contest, Karl Gillingham won the Rolling Thunder deadlift contest, hauling up a total weight of 244 pounds.
