Galabin Boevski: Knee Surgery...

Bulgaria's Galabin Boevski (see the March 2000 issue of MILO) is coming off arthroscopic knee surgery and will not compete in the upcoming European Weightlifting Championships. Boevski said that the surgery, on his left knee, was aimed at correcting an old injury which had recently become much worse. Boevski, a strong favorite for the gold medal in the 69-kg category at the Sydney Olympics, said that he expects to be back to training at full speed by the end of May.
