Five American competitors are expected to go to the 2001 World's Strongest Man competition, IFSA announced today. As was the case last year, the American competitors will be selected based on their performance in the designated qualifying events. It was also confirmed that, minimally, the top two American finishers at the 2001 Beauty and the Beast competition will qualify for this year's WSM show.
