Ottawa, Ontario hosted the inaugural Canadian National Grip Sport Championships this past weekend.
Competing in the middleweight class (93 kg), Eric Roussin won his class along with the overall title. Simon-Pierre Desjarlais won the lightweight division (74 kg) and Rob McMurren won the heavyweight title (93+ kg).
The competition was held on February 28 and consisted of five events: One-hand pinch (using the Euro pinch device), Rolling Thunder, 2” Vertical Bar, CoC (Captains of Crush) Silver Bullet, and a 25-item grip medley.
