TRENCIN, Slovakia - The 69-kg category was marked by a close battle at the European Weightlifting Championships today. Ekrem Djelil (TUR) fought to hold a 182.5-kg jerk, for a 322.5-kg total, and it ended up giving him the margin he needed to win, as he edged Andrey Matveev (RUS) on bodyweight. Turan Mirzoev (AZE) got the bronze, with a 320-kg total.
