Byrd Is Flying...
Robin Byrd-Goad (USA) is in top shape coming into the Women's World Weightlifting Championships, with recent workouts producing a PR 105 kg clean and jerk, as well as multiple singles with 82.5 kg in the snatch, and a PR 120 kg front squat. Byrd-Goad won two gold medals and a silver in the 50-kg category at the 1994 Women's World Weightlifting Championships, and has long been one of the most popular and most productive women in international weightlifting.
