Coming off his IPF victory, Brad Gillingham unofficially exceeded the Rolling Thunder® world record by hauling up 275 pounds in plates, for a total lift estimated at about 280 pounds. Wade Gillingham reported that, "Brad had us psychologically destroyed after toying with 250 and laughing us" [Wade and Karl had both gone out at 250]. Besides unofficially exceeding the world record, Brad's lift officially set the all-time Festivus record.
