Odd Haugen said today that the Beauty and the Beast Strongman Challenge 2000 is set for either Memorial Day weekend, or the following weekend. Haugen said that he is planning a two-day event which will be open to all competitors. The first day will serve as a qualifier, probably with about four events, and the finals will be held on the second day, probably with about six events. Haugen plans to have a top international field, and hopes to offer a first place prize of at least US$10,000 cash.
