It looked pretty casual as Alexey “Tank” Tyukalov (Russia) broke the world record for men’s max weight Rolling Thunder pull-ups at the Los Angeles FitExpo over the weekend, cranking out a pull-up with a total weight of 155.5 kg.

Tyukalov’s credentials in the grip-strength world are impressive and they include world records on the CoC Silver Bullet Hold and the Rolling Thunder One-Hand Deadlift, as well as certification on the No. 3 Captains of Crush gripper. It was evident that there’s a lot more in the tank, as it were, so this world record seems likely to get reset anytime Tyukalov choses to do it.
