The 2020 IHGF All-American Highland Games Qualifying Series has been announced, so if you like to play with sticks and stones, here’s your ticket to a good time.

The 2020 IHGF All-American Highland Games Qualifying Series

The 2020 IHGF All-American Highland Games series consists of 10 games across America. The top athletes from each of the men’s and women’s A group and men’s and women’s masters 40 and 50 classes at each of the venues will advance to the finals of the IHGF All-American Highland Games Championships, which will be held at the Great Plains Renaissance & Highland Games Festival on 26–27 September.
 
From the finals of the IHGF All-American Highland Games Championships, the top three athletes in each class will compete in Santiago, Chile in 2021, at the IHGF Chile International Highland Games, where five nights’ accommodations will be covered for all 18 athletes and judges.

1. Queen Mary Highland Games, 15–16 February, with IHGF All-American Light Weight for Distance Championships
 
2. Phoenix Highland Games, 7–8 March, with IHGF All-American Caber Tossing Championships
 
3. Las Vegas Highland Games, 18–19 April, with IHGF All-American Open Stone Putting Championships
 
4. Wichita Highland Games, 18–19 April, with IHGF All-American Weight Over Bar Championships
 
5. Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival, 2–3 May, with IHGF All-American Light Hammer Throwing Championships 
 
6. Costa Mesa Highland Games, 23–24 May, with IHGF All-American Heavy Weight for Distance Championships
 
7. Pikes Peak Celtic Festival, 20–21 June, with IHGF All-American Braemar Stone Putting Championships
 
8. Dublin Irish Festival, 1–2 August, with IHGF All-American Sheaf Tossing Championships
 
9. Topeka Classic Highland Games, 15 August, with IHGF All-American Heavy Hammer Throwing Championships
 
10. Scotsfest Oklahoma Highland Games, 19–20 September
 
11. Great Plains Renaissance & Highland Games Festival, 26–27 September, finals of the IHGF All-American Highland Games Championships
