Britains’s Strongest Hands was a celebration for its first family of grip as David and Elizabeth Horne won the overall and 83-kg classes respectively at their gym, The Grip Factory, “on what would have been my dad’s birthday,” David reported to IronMind.
A multi-tasking mom, Elizabeth Horne is “putting some hurt down on a Grade 5 bolt, reverse bending wit minimal wraps touching,” reported her proud husband, David. IronMind® | Photo courtesy of David Horne.
“Pleased with the win, and to see Rob Russell doing well. He’ll be one to watch this year. Also massively impressive was Elizabeth winning the 83-kg class against the men. She nearly got a bodyweight Pinch Lift, with 81.05 kg at a bodyweight of 82.65 k. This was a new women’s world record along with her Shallow Hub later, in the Hub contest run by Richie Bevan.
“Great day, lot’s of food, and fun.”
