IWF Director Aniko-Nemeth Mora told IronMind® that the recently released video of the 2009 World Weightlifting Championships was produced by the IWF, “to leave a lasting memory of the magnificent 2009 Goyang World Championships as a present to the weightlifting family, and in order to increase the number of weightlifting fans worldwide.”


The Chinese Weightlifting Association continued to do itself proud at the 2009 World Weightlifting Championships where 77-kg Lu Xiaoyun broke the world record in the snatch and total, two good reasons why his recent honors include winning the IWF’s 2009 Weightlifter of the Year award.  IronMind® | Randall J. With IWF president Dr. Tamas Ajan serving as the editor, the crew of Sandor Elek, Janos Halper, Kornel Jansco and Aniko Nemeth-Mora put together a video that includes competition footage as well as a shots capturing the flavor of the setting and the contest itself—the finished product is a stirring treatment of the top weightlifting competition of 2009.

Although the IWF only produced enough copies, “to send to the National Federations and officials concerned, as well as to some media,” Ms. Nemeth-Mora explained, there is a possibility that some additional copies might be made for purchase.
