IFSA president Douglas Edmunds, Ph.D. announced a huge new strongman event for 2004: The IFSA World Cup.

Scheduled for July 16 -18 in Riga, Latvia, the 2004 IFSA World Cup will feature six-man teams from the US, Canada, Western Europe, Scandinavia, the Baltics, as well as a team representing the rest of the world.

Current plans call for thirteen television programs to be made from the contest, which Edmunds said will be "the next biggest contest after World's Strongest Man."
