Yves Gravelle (Canada) demolished the world record for one of the most spectacular events in the grip strength world by knocking out three reps in the 1-arm pull-up on the Rolling Thunder.
Referee Eric Roussin described Yves Gravelle as “a 37-year-old Canadian rock climber specializing in bouldering and known for his finger strength.
“Gravelle, 8 times member of the Canadian Bouldering National team, has climbed V15, holds multiple Class World records in Armlifting, and 3 APL World titles. Weighing 66 kg, he might also be the lightest person to have successfully lifted the famous Thomas-inch Dumbbell.
“When not climbing or training, Yves enjoyed spending time with his family and 2 daughters,” Roussin told IronMind.
Congratulations, Yves, your new world record of 3 reps for the Rolling Thunder 1-Arm Pull-ups is official.
