Rain complicated filming of the "World's Strongest Man" (WSM) TV show today in Malta, but three groups have completed their second day of qualifying events. Virtanen once again won his group, making him perfect so far, followed by Karlsen, then Pannanen. Defending WSM winner Samuelsson won his group, followed by Barr, and then Philippi, who had the misfortune of having a log he was loading roll off the platform-causing him to lose a lot of time. Girard continued his strong showing, winning his group, followed by Olafsson, and then Brown. These groups are being referred to as numbers 3, 1, and 4, respectively.
