USA Weightlifting Nationals...

Wes Barnett, lifting in front of a hometown crowd, delivered a solid performance at the USA Weightlifting National Men's Championships this weekend.

Barnett, lifting in the 105 kg category, posted a 380 kg total, continuing his comeback. Shane Hamman, lifting in the +105 kg category, opened with an easy 180 kg snatch, but then missed 187.5 kg twice. In clean and jerk, Hamman made 215 and 222.5, but then missed 230 kg on his third attempt, for a 402.5 kg total. Tom Gough, competing in the 94 kg category, bombed out in the snatch, missing 155 kg on his opener, and then missing 160 on his second and third attempts.
