Sergey is 35 years old (1.9 m tall and weighs 115 kg) and works as a key account manager in consumer electronics.
Sergey told IronMind that he “got interested in grippers about 1-1/2 years ago. I saw a friend in the gym [with a] Captains of Crush No. 2.5 gripper and closed it on my first attempt,” he told IronMind.
“A friend said that this is a good result, and I became interested in the topic of grippers and armlifting in general.
“I have never done anything like this before, but I have experience in wrestling (SAMBO), and I think that's why I have a strong grip—it’s important there.
“Now I regularly train using specialized exercises for the development of the grip. In the near future, my goal is the certification closure CoC 3.5.“I train 3-4 times a week, ,using CoC No. 2.5, No. 3, No. 3.5, [focusing on] no-set and credit card set closes.
“I think I'll see you again [and] I wish you all the steel grip!”
Congratulations, Sergey, you have been certified on the Captains of Crush No. 3 gripper, proving your world class grip strength, and many thanks to Egor Meshkov, of BearGrip, for refereeing, Sergey Likhutyev’s offical attempt to close a CoC No. 3 gripper.
