Russians Star in 125s and +125 Kg; Brad Bags a Bronze

Russians swept the 125 kg and super heavyweight classes at the IPF World Championships.

Andrey Malanichev (125 kg) and Vladim Bondarenko (+125 kg) took home gold with totals of 1015 (400 + 250 + 365) and 1060 (410 + 265 + 385) respectively.  125-kg Hungarian Istvan Arvai copped silver with 390 + 255 + 365 and Volodym Muravlyov of the Ukraine took third, with 390 + 250 + 350. 

In the supers, Ukraine's Vitaliy Papazov came second at 1057.5 (415 + 275 + 367.5) over Brad Gillingham, USA, who pulled a big 387.5 deadlift to take the bronze via 380 + 277.5 + 387.5.  Fifth-place Tibor Mesaros, Hungary, had a world record deadlift of 407.5 kg in the supers.
