Just got off the phone with Svend “Viking” Karlsen, 2001 World’s Strongest Man winner: “We had the Nordic Strongman Championships—the first time since 2005—and it was a great atmosphere,” Viking said.
Here are the top results:
1. Johannes Arsjo (Sweden)
2. Lars Rorbakken (Norway)
3. Michael Licht (Denmark)
4. Stefan Solvi Petursson (Iceland), injured
“It was held in Harstad, up north in Norway under great weather. The organizer, Tommy Horne did a great job, and I hope he will do it again next year.
“Johannes was in great shape, and won 5 of the 6 events. It’s the first time since 2005 it’s been held so that means I was the champ until Johannes took the title!”
