The next to demonstrate his mastery of the Captains of Crush No. 3 gripper at the 2015 WAA World Championships in St. Petersburg, Russia this weekend was Nikolay Pleshakov.

The 31-year old Pleshakov, who is married and has two young sons, works in security, and he told IronMind that grippers are just a hobby for him. Notably, he rose to this level of excellence with just one year of training, and he said that he trains grip two or three times a week, and only closes grippers. His background includes MMA.

Congratulations, Nikolay—it’s official and you have been certified on the Captains of Crush No. 3 gripper.
