Michael Cohen, head coach of Team Savannah, is the new National Women's Coach for USA Weightlifting (USAW). Regarding his new position, Cohen said he is "very excited and very proud. The mission statement of the USAW is to win gold medals. You're going to see everybody pulling together to do the best they can for Team USA. The girls that I coach here in Savannah are trained very hard, but then they have the best of everything. This community is absolutely nuts over weightlifting."
