Jamal Salaymeh, of Columbus, Ohio, has been certified for bending the IronMind Red Nail.
Jamal, who is 19 years old and stands 6’ 5” at 265 lb., is a biology (pre-med) student at Ohio State University. He has been bending nails for the past 8 months, after hearing about the IronMind nails from YouTube videos: “I wanted to see what I could bend.”
Jamal says that the only IronMind nail “I ever tried was the Red Nail and I did bend it on my first try. However, this was not my first time bending as I have been bending various steel stock, 60d nails, and bolts before my first Red Nail attempt.”
Jamal’s trains three times a week: “My bending workout consists of bending a regular 60d nail as a warmup, and then I move to the hardest nail I can bend, and I bend that nail three times per workout session.” Jamal has also been doing armwrestling-specific training for the past two years: “It definitely carries over to bending as most of the workouts in armwrestling strengthen the wrist, hand, and the forearm.”
Jamal’s goals include focusing “more on grip training and armwrestling. I would like to get certified on the Captains of Crush No. 3 and complete the Crushed-to-Dust Challenge.”
Congratulations, Jamal, job well done; your name has been added to the Red Nail Roster. Many thanks to Bradley Wolfenbarger of Columbus, OH, for his time and interest in acting as Jamal’s referee.
