Asian Games: Le Maosheng Hits 182.5 kg World Record Clean and Jerk

Pusan, Korea – Le Maosheng (CHN) swept the gold medals in the 62-kg category at the Asian Games, with a 140-kg snatch and a huge world record 182.5-kg clean and jerk.

Earlier, his teammate Shi Zhiyong appeared set to break the world record in the snatch (153 kg) when he opened at 150 kg, but he missed it three times and withdrew from the competition.  Second place in the total went to Im Yong Su (PRK), with a 300 kg total, and third place went to Cho Hyo Won (KOR), with a 290-kg total.
