The official invitations for this year’s 2016 IHGF World Amateur Highland games Championships are being sent this week to twelve top-ranked amateur athletes, who will represent their countries at the championships. Held on the grounds of the renowned Fefor Hotel, Vinstra, Norway, in a specially built sports arena that caters to strength and throwing-related sports, these amateur championships will be contested 2800 feet above sea level in a majestic setting, with a view of Loch Fefor and the backdrop of the mountains, making it a natural for Highland Games. Bear Siragusa the IHGF Scandinavian representative, will be contacting each athlete to confirm his official place in the 2016 IHGF World Amateur Highland Games Championships. The entire championships will be filmed for European TV.
