Four-time World’s Strongest Man winner Magnus Ver Magnusson told IronMind today that he will once again be running his World’s Strongest Disabled Man contest this year.

He began it a couple of years ago and it’s divided into two divisions.
The Standing Division is for developmentally disabled competitors and it includes “just about all the events that are usually done in strongman, only lighter,” Magnus Ver said. “Stones, etc., etc.”
“The Wheelchair Division is almost the same thing,” but the events are tailored to competitors who are in wheelchairs, so, for example, Atlas Stones are loaded from one drum to another. “Hand-over-hand truck pull, Hercules Hold, Crucifix, Incline Log Press are done.
“We have been developing this in Iceland, have got all the equipment and when we get enough of a following, we would like to take this elsewhere as well,” said Magnus Ver.
The third edition of the World’s Strongest Disabled Man will be held this Fall, so watch here for updates.
