Now ten years into his bending career, Nick Rosendaul has proven his mettle by getting certified on the benchmark IronMind Red Nail.
Asked to say a little about himself, Nick told IronMind, “I am 36 years old, 6’ tall, and weigh 240 lb. I live in Columbus Ohio and have worked at UPS in Columbus for 15 years. I am married to my wife Andrea and have two children, William, 6, and Gabriel, 1.
“I love the old time strongman feats: bending and scrolling steel bars, horse shoe bending, ripping cards and phone books! I have been bending since 2004. I compete in grip, strongman, and the Scottish Highland Games. My favorite events are pinch gripping, stone loading, farmer’s walk, caber toss, and horse shoe bending. Just a few months ago I hit a long time training goal of loading a 370-lb. Atlas stone.
“Thank you to all the benders that helped on my way to this goal and IronMind for making the cert available!"
IronMind would like to thank Chris Rice for refereeing Nick’s official attempt and there was not doubt about the decision: “Nick Rosendaul successfully (easily) completed his bend of an IronMind Red Nail,” Chris Rice told IronMind.
Congratulations, Nick—your name has been added to the Red Nail Roster.
