Athens – Today, close to Muscle Beach, is the memorial service for one of the truly iconic figures in the Iron Game, Joe Gold—a name associated with innovative equipment, the world's most famous bodybuilding gyms, and friendships that go back decades and decades.

Deeply honored to be invited to Joe's memorial service, it is with profound regret that I cannot be there, but as John Balik said to me, "Even you can't be two places at once."  Watch for IRONMAN Magazine's coverage of this tribute to Joe Gold.  May he rest in peace.
